I won't be posting pictures tonight because I'm pretty exhausted from a great few days. We drove from Milford to Fox Glacier where we spent the night at a holiday park. It was pretty cloudy so Justin didn't get to see much of the glacier or the beautiful views of Mt. Cook but we had a nice run around the local lake and Justin made us killer black bean, brown rice and GUACAMOLE burritos! Then we drove to Greymouth where we caught the Tranzscenic train to Christchurch. We stayed at an awesome B&B called Hoonhay Valley B&B run by Ernst and Renate who where wonderful. We had a great late dinner at a local restaurant called the Old Viceroy which was super tasty. This morning we got back on the train and returned to Greymouth where we took the 1.5 hour Montieth Brewery tour (30 min of brewery tour, one hour of beer sampling - double the fun for Justin who graciously sampled my portions as well, since I'm the designated driver). Then I drove us up to Westport where we'll be spending the night tonight before heading to Able Tasmin tomorrow.
We'll be spending tomorrow night at a holiday park and then kayaking the coast, camping on Observation Beach for New Year's Eve. We'll post again (with pictures) in 2010!!

ReplyDeleteJo still napping. Addy and I doing a puzzle. Waiting for 2 girls to come over. We are babysitting from 4-7pm today so the parents (friends) can go out alone. Should be a loud afternoon!
